1. ABS: This is a low cost material used in 3D printing. It is great for printing durable and tough parts which can withstand high temperature. However in order to use ABS you would need a heated bed or chamber, it also produces a pungent odour when it is printed.

2. Flexible: These filaments which are also referred to as TPU or TPE are known for being elastic which allows for the material to stretch and bend quite easily. This material is soft, flexible and does not require a heating bed or a chamber. It is difficult to print this filament and has poor bridging characteristics. This material however has a longer shelf life and has a good amount of impact resistance.

3. PLA: One of the go to materials used in 3D printing, most people tend to prefer this material due to the fact that how easy it is to use it. It is low in cost and is stiff and has a good amount of durability. However it has low amount of heat resistance and the filament is prone to breakage since it is quite brittle.

4. Nylon: A tough and a semi-flexible material which offers high impact and abrasion resistance, this material does not produce any unpleasant smell during the printing process. This material also has a good amount of abrasion resistance. However it is quite prone to warping and is not suitable for humid and moist environments.
